After 6 days and 6 nights non stop rolling on waves at sea at finally we are safe on anchor in very very windy Cape Verde island Sal ! We arrived day 10 in the evening. Now we are still tired and recovering lack of sleep, but happy to be in these African islands again. All went very fine...... Grain de Sable proved us how good boat it is and Bimbache showed that he don't care harbour or sea - while there is food and warm place in bed with us he is very very OK. So this time just this short resume, but we promise we will write another more detailed post about the trip soon.

 And ….all day!!!...Thats how the life on boat is:) And all that because finally ….finally we leave! Tomorow!!!.. So today all day we tried to clean all what is possible and fill all we can with fresh wáter. Towells, sheets, clothes, carpets……and all the little and big bottles we found on board. We know that wáter is luxury in many places in Capo Verde so better to be prepared.  We had to wait few days for leaving Hierro because i had a tooth pain ( totally not planned),.so had to go to capital to check it…and finally to take it out. Better , because it would have been too hard for me to suffer pain later in open sea So now weather forecast is showing good favourable winds..and tomorow we go. First we plan to stop in Sal , make check in ( you can make check in just in 3 islands ), rest and later probably sail to other island- Sao Nicolao. Totally there are 10 big islands in Cape Verde, but we are not planning to see them all. All will depend on weather and time. And our mood:) Also it will be the first sailing trip for Bimbache!!!..Lets see how he will manage. All our other cats felt super Ok, so hope Bimbache will become a sailor too:)  FOR THE MOMENT BIMBACHE IS TOTALLY RELAXED. LOOKS LIKE SAILING IS NOT IN HIS PLANS.) |
