We can’t live without internet….yes…even if we live on boat:) Of course in open Sea we read books, watch stars and movies…..but when ever we touch the land, one of the first things we do is to look for internet ( in a bar, library and etc…).
We NEED it and we LIKE it! And we can’t live without it!...And not just for checking the weather…also for reading the other sailors blogs, connecting with family via Skype, watching football on line, searching for job on boats, reading about cruising conditions, anchorages and harbors in the places we are sailing to, downloading loads of movies for watching them during long evenings while on anchor and for many many more things.
Many liveaboard cruisers finish having long range Wifi antenna on boats and ‘steeling’ signal from nearby bars ). Probably soon we will start doing the same- just we need to find the right antenna and to buy it.
